Screencake is open. There is no invite to request and no waitlist to sit on: create an account and start writing.
The Mac app is free, and you do not need an account to use it. Download it, open it, and write. Without an account your script lives on your own machine and never leaves it.
What the account is for
An account adds writing in the browser, sync between your Mac and the web, and collaborators in the same script at the same time, with comments and version history.
Those come with Writers Room. The Production plan adds what you need once a script becomes a shoot: revision colors, locked pages, breakdown tagging, the stripboard, call sheets and day out of days.
Only the owner of a project ever pays. The people you invite work for free.
For the beta testers
If you already had an account before today, yours keeps the Production plan free. That was the deal for coming in early and it stands.
