Screencake is a screenwriting app for macOS and the web. The same app on both: industry-standard formatting, Final Draft and Fountain import and export, collaboration when you're signed in, and a free Mac app where a script never leaves your machine.
We built it because writing software should get out of the way. The page you see is the page that prints. The tools around it stay quiet until you reach for them: scenes, beats, revisions, production breakdowns.
Where things stand
Screencake was invite-only when this was written. It is open now: see Signup is open, or just have a look at what's already built.
This blog is where we'll post news about the product: releases worth explaining, and notes on the decisions behind them.
