Cloud AI
Cloud AI
Request writing suggestions, storyboard frames, breakdown pictures, and mood board pictures. Enable Cloud AI in Account and use prepaid workspace credits.
Getting started Link to Getting started#
Cloud AI is available to each account. Turn it on in Account → Cloud AI, then select an action in Assist, Storyboard, or Report → Breakdown. No approval needed.
Enable Cloud AI Link to Enable Cloud AI#
Account shows your Cloud AI access. If Request access shows, select it first. When access is available, enable Cloud AI in Account. Then use Assist or Generate. Requests run only when you select an action. You can disable Cloud AI at any time.
Workspace owners can prohibit Cloud AI in Workspace settings. Your account switch cannot change this restriction. It is also unavailable for an encrypted script and in Local Mode.
Account shows the workspace balances you can use. See Credits below for the cost of each action.
Writing help Link to Writing help#
Open the inspector using the toolbar's right-hand button, then select Assist.
- Alternates: put the cursor in dialogue or action.
- Scene notes: put the cursor anywhere in a scene.
- Continue: put the cursor where the next passage must start.
Actions stay disabled until the cursor is in a applicable position.
Before you send a request, open What gets sent. This shows the content and character count for the request:
- Alternates for this line. Your line, the scene heading, nearby blocks, and up to twelve earlier lines by that character or nearby action paragraphs.
- Notes on this scene. The current scene, from its heading to the next heading.
- Continue from here. The scene text before the cursor and a few lines from each character in it.
- Suggest breakdown elements. The current scene's blocks and the breakdown terms already tagged in it.
- Draft a synopsis. The current scene's blocks and its heading.
- Analyze screenplay for a budget. All scene headings and screenplay blocks in the captured script, with scene and block identifiers.
- Generate a frame. The shot description, camera settings, scene heading, and a short action excerpt. Also, reference images, up to three character names, and up to two pictured items.
- Generate a breakdown picture. The item name and category, your image description, and the selected style.
- Generate a mood board picture. Your description of the look, the selected style, and the tile shape. No script text.
If present, writing requests also include your voice sheet. Request data stays on our servers for a maximum of one day. Most actions delete the server result after you accept or discard it. Budget analysis keeps its request record for retry recovery until expiration.
Use or discard results Link to Use or discard results#
Suggestions do not replace your writing automatically. Select what to keep from the returned list:
- Dialogue: add it to the line's alternates to compare suggestions with the current line.
- Action: insert it below your line, not over it.
- Scene notes: post them as a comment on the heading.
- Continuation: insert it after the cursor. One undo removes the complete insertion.
Discard clears the suggestions without changing your script.
To report harmful or inappropriate output, select Report. This control is beside Discard, below a generated frame, or on a breakdown picture. The report sends the output to our team.
Writing style Link to Writing style#
Requests include script examples for tone, rhythm, vocabulary, and length. Instructions tell the model to keep names and tense without more characters or locations. Before you use a suggestion, examine it.
At the bottom of Assist, write a voice sheet. Include sentence length, dialogue style, and restrictions for this script. Screencake saves this text with the script and includes it in each writing request. You write the voice sheet yourself.
Storyboard frames Link to Storyboard frames#
On a storyboard shot, select Generate to request one frame. The request uses the shot description and scene context. Cloud AI does not plan coverage or generate all shots automatically.
Set the shared drawing style in Style: pencil, ink, charcoal, color rough, or cinematic previs. Add notes with more instructions. The complete script uses this setting.
Final uses full quality. Draft uses the same shot and references at lower quality. It costs half the credits.
Reference images help keep images consistent. Each request uses a maximum of five references, with faces first:
- Character profile pictures.
- Pictures of breakdown items tagged in the scene.
- Up to two earlier frames from the same scene.
Screencake adds camera arrows from the shot's movement as editable marks over the result. Generated frames use the standard cards, lightbox, and PDF, with a Generated label.
Breakdown pictures Link to Breakdown pictures#
Open Report → Breakdown and select Generate with AI beside an item. Describe its appearance and select a style and quality. Final costs 60 credits. Draft costs 30. The dialog shows which workspace pays.
A preview uses credits even if you do not keep the picture. Failed requests return credits. To request a preview, select Generate. Examine the preview. Select Use picture to attach it, or Replace picture to replace the current picture. If you close the preview, the current picture does not change.
If a connection error interrupts an existing request, select Check picture to retrieve the same result without spending more credits.
Saved pictures carry an AI generated label and can become references for storyboard frames in scenes where the item shows. You can report inappropriate output from either the preview or the saved picture. See Breakdown for tagging and picture management.
Mood board pictures Link to Mood board pictures#
On the Mood board, select Generate with AI in the Add menu. Describe the look you want, in up to 2,000 characters: tone, palette, texture, lighting. Select a style, a tile shape (square, 16:9, or 4:3), and a quality. Final costs 60 credits. Draft costs 30. The dialog shows which workspace pays.
The request sends your description, the selected style, and the tile shape. It sends no script text. Screencake stores only the style and shape with the request record.
A preview uses credits even if you do not keep the picture. Failed requests return credits. Select Add tile to put the picture on the board as a new tile with an AI generated label. If you close the preview, the board does not change. See Mood board for tiles, sources, and the guest link.
Breakdown suggestions Link to Breakdown suggestions#
Open the toolbar's Breakdown tags menu with the cursor in a scene and select Suggest with cloud AI. It reads that one scene and costs 1 credit.
Results show beside the built-in suggestions. Results include only words and two-word phrases from the scene action. If the scene action has no words to examine, the request returns its credit. Select a suggestion to tag its first occurrence in the scene action. Each request processes one scene. No request runs automatically.
Scene synopsis and one-liner Link to Scene synopsis and one-liner#
The Scene tab has a synopsis and a one-liner for the schedule. Length limits keep these texts within a schedule row. Write them manually, or select Draft with cloud AI for 3 credits.
The draft shows on a card below the fields. Insert is available only for an empty field. To replace existing text, clear the field first. Discard removes the suggestion without changes to the plan. Report sends the draft to our team for examination.
Screenplay budget analysis Link to Screenplay budget analysis#
In Budget, select Estimate from script. Examine the disclosure, then select the consent checkbox before Analyze screenplay. This action sends the captured screenplay to Anthropic. It costs 250 credits. It requires budget management access and permission to use workspace credits.
The model identifies production requirements and cites script passages. It does not set prices. Examine each requirement, enter rates, and calculate an estimate on your device. Existing budget lines change only through the normal budget controls. The estimator adds selected new lines after a preview.
After a connection error, select Check analysis to retrieve the existing request. Recovery is available for 23 hours. After that period, start a new paid analysis if necessary. Saved estimates remain in the script's private budget data. See Screenplay budget estimates.
Credits Link to Credits#
Each workspace has one credit balance for all its productions. Owners buy 1,000 credits for $10, plus tax at checkout, from Account → Manage credits. Each paid Studio invoice restores included credits to 50,000. Unused included credits stay in the balance. The invoice adds only the difference. Requests use included credits before purchased credit packs.
On iPhone and iPad, owners can purchase credits from Account → Add credits. Apple sells these credits at the displayed price in your currency, including tax. App and web purchases add to the same balance.
- Share with your team: an owner turns on Share AI credits with collaborators in Workspace settings.
- Who can use credits: admins, writers, and editors can use credits on productions they can edit. Each person must enable Cloud AI.
- Payment: requests charge the script's workspace, never a different workspace or a collaborator's personal balance.
- Track usage: owners can see recent purchases, requests, and refunds by member and production.
A request uses credits when it starts. Failed requests return credits to the same workspace.
