ProductionOffice
The production office.
Files the crew can be sent, one message to the roster, hours filed from the call sheet, and travel that lands on the calendar.
Files Link to Files#
A production keeps documents beside the script: permits, deal memos, reference pictures, a camera test, a temp mix. Upload them into folders on the Files tab.
- What fits: PDFs, pictures, video, audio, text, CSV, zip, and Word, Excel or PowerPoint files, up to 200MB each.
- Versions: upload a new version onto a row and the older ones stay behind it.
- Restricted: mark a file restricted and only people who can see contacts can open it.
- Previews: PDFs, pictures, video and audio play in the panel. Video and audio take timecoded notes.
Send a file to the crew Link to Send a file to the crew#
Pick recipients from the crew and cast, or type an address. Each one gets their own link. A PDF is stamped on the way out with the recipient's name, so a leaked page says who had it. The panel shows who opened and who downloaded.
Files are stored unencrypted and are not offered for an encrypted script — see encrypted scripts.
Review notes on a cut Link to Review notes on a cut#
A note on a video or audio file remembers the moment it was taken at; clicking it seeks there. Anyone who can see the file may leave one, readers included — the note is on the file, not the script.
- Time format: the player's clock, or frame-accurate timecode at a rate you pick.
- Transport: half, normal, one-and-a-half or double speed, and a loop switch.
- Only the author deletes a note. Somebody else's is reported, not removed.
Announcements Link to Announcements#
One message to everyone, the crew, the cast, or a single department. It goes out as email from your name, with replies coming back to your own mailbox. The history lists what was sent and to how many people.
To send paperwork with it, upload the file and distribute that instead: announcements carry no attachments.
Time cards Link to Time cards#
Crew file their hours from the call sheet they were emailed — no account needed — or on the Time cards tab. You review and approve.
- The agreement: day hours, when overtime and double time start and what they pay, the night window and its premium, the meal window and its penalty, and sixth and seventh day rates. Start from a template and edit it.
- The maths: straight, overtime, double time, night hours, meal penalties and a day multiplier, priced off the crew member's day rate.
- Export: CSV for whoever runs payroll.
These are estimates for pre-payroll review, not a payroll run and not advice about what you owe.
Travel Link to Travel#
Flights, trains, cars and hotels per traveller. A leg starts as a draft; publishing it puts it on the production calendar and lets you mail that traveller their itinerary with a calendar attachment.
Costs show only to people who can see contacts.
Carbon Link to Carbon#
The report's Sustainability tab totals CO₂e from what the production already knows: travel legs, accommodation, set power, generator fuel, catering and waste. Prefill from the schedule, then correct the numbers by hand.
The factors are the published UK conversion factors. This is an estimate to argue with, not a certified footprint.
Jobs Link to Jobs#
Post a role from the workspace's Jobs page and share its link. Applicants reply by email; nothing is tracked in the app and nothing is posted to a third-party board.
